Surgeons Quarter – Quincentenary Conference Centre 

The ESPEN–BAPEN Symposium will take place at Surgeons Quarter, part of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, in Edinburgh’s historic Old Town. The scientific sessions will be held in the Quincentenary Building.

A room block has been reserved at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Edinburgh City Centre for symposium participants. The Radisson Blu Hotel, Edinburgh City Centre is within easy walking distance of the symposium venue at Surgeons Quarter.

Attendees wishing to stay at the Radisson Blu Hotel are encouraged to register for the ESPEN Symposium early, as availability cannot be guaranteed after the early bird deadline.

As 21–22 May 2027 falls during Edinburgh Marathon Weekend, hotel availability is expected to be limited. Participants are strongly encouraged to book early.

Arriving in Edinburgh

By Air

Edinburgh Airport (EDI) is the main airport for participants travelling to the symposium. Delegates can continue to the city centre by tram, airport bus or taxi. Please allow additional travel time, as the symposium coincides with Edinburgh Marathon Weekend.

By Train

Edinburgh Waverley is the principal railway station. Surgeons Quarter is located approximately 15–20 minutes on foot from the station, depending on the route, and is also accessible by local bus or taxi.

By Car

Central Edinburgh has limited parking. Participants are encouraged to use public transport where possible. Drivers should check city-centre parking and access arrangements before travelling.
